Stewardship

Søren Jensen Engineering is family-owned in the third generation. The family exercises an active stewardship of what Søren Jensen originally founded and intend to own and safeguard the firm across coming generations.

The concept of Stewardship is therefore important to the current third-generation owners, who see themselves as stewards of the inheritance of future generations.

The firm is owned through Søren Jensen Family Invest A/S, through which the family also manages its other mission-driven investments.

These form part of the family's broad commitment to strengthening the consulting engineering firm and to actively promoting more sustainable – and in time regenerative – construction.

A third-generation family ownership

The concept of stewardship is intended to safeguard, among other things, the firm’s original history and values:

That Søren Jensen defined the company’s core values: Collaboration, Competence and Responsibility.

That Søren Jensen’s son, Erik Jensen, later took over the baton and expanded the firm with additional offices and engineering disciplines to mature the company.

That today, the firm is carried forward by the third generation through Flemming and Frank Jensen, who jointly own the company, working to establish the next regenerative practice.

That Erik Jensen remains active and still has a lot to provide as a senior engineer, contributing sparring and knowledge to its many skilled employees.

That the company is being prepared for the fourth generation through a planned and gradual succession, allowing the stewardship tradition to continue in the same responsible and value-driven direction.
