As a member of the First Q Network we are part of a European community of leading consulting engineering firms. The network gives access to international knowledge, experience, and professional sparring, and strengthens our consulting in projects where requirements, standards, and collaboration extend across national borders.
In addition, we are a founding member of Aarhus Center for Regenerativt Byggeri (ACRB), established in collaboration with Aarhus University and Aarhus School of Architecture.Here we actively contribute to developing, testing, and communicating new methods and approaches to regenerative construction – with a focus on both practice, teaching, and research.
B Corp-Certificeret siden 2019
In 2019, we became the first European engineering company to achieve B Corp certification.
The certification is based on a comprehensive assessment of the company’s sustainability performance and sets the highest standards for environmental, social and business ethics matters.
B Corp is a global movement of companies that want to make a positive difference. The B stands for Benefit, and as part of the B Corp movement, we must work to be of benefit to the world and to society.
With the certification, we commit to meeting global standards and delivering on concrete objectives, for example CO₂ neutrality by 2030.
For us, B Corp is not only about documentation and standards, but about giving our expertise a clear direction and a shared responsibility that can be translated into practice.
It must be an active working tool that can be felt in our professional decisions, in projects, and in the way we collaborate. This is where ambitions must take shape.
Member of the First Q Network
Søren Jensen Consulting Engineers is a member of First Q Network, a European network of leading consulting engineering firms within technical building services.
The network brings together specialists from a wide range of European countries and gives access to a broad community of professional knowledge, experience, and capacity across markets.
With membership of First Q, we can draw on international experience while ensuring local grounding and compliance in projects where requirements, standards, and forms of collaboration cross national borders.

Towards regenerative practice
Søren Jensen Engineering is a co-founder of Aarhus Centre for Regenerative Construction (ACRB), with the ambition of promoting a new regenerative building practice.
The centre’s ambition is to become a beacon for regenerative construction, both in a Danish and international context. Through concrete projects, research and knowledge sharing, it aims to influence the construction industry’s self-understanding, frameworks and practice.
The driving force is the desire to contribute positively to the acute climate crisis, which requires exploring knowledge outside our own field. As things stand, far too little is invested in research on construction's role – and far too often research happens in isolation from other professional disciplines. That needs to change if we want to move as an industry.
This requires persistent work on financing, a regenerative business model where earnings are converted into new research, and a collaboration that strengthens the system logic that makes it easier to translate regenerative principles into practice.
