Prismet, near Den Gamle By in Aarhus, is set for a comprehensive transformation focused on sustainability and circular principles.
Housing, commercial space, retail and shared facilities are brought together in a coherent whole designed to support a dynamic urban life.
The vision is to combine workplaces, homes and social meeting points in a flexible environment with coworking communities, sharing schemes and varied housing types.
A modern urban space connected to its surroundings
The project will create clear connections to the surrounding streets and public spaces. The ground floor opens to street life, while the facades along Silkeborgvej and Viborgvej follow the rising terrain. Towards Herningvej, the green profile is strengthened with buffer zones and a small neighbourhood park as part of a series of compact urban spaces.
In this way the building moves from being a heavy, dark monolith to a light and open high-rise with compact apartments, green roofs and shared areas where sport, community and wellbeing take centre stage.
