Water Culture House Papirøen, Copenhagen

DESCRIPTION

EXPERIENCES FOR PLAY, WELL-BEING AND WATER
With its spectacular architecture and harbourfront location, the new Water Culture House provides a unique setting for water-based experiences, including swimming, wellness, recreation and bathing.

Swimming and bathing facilities are distributed across several levels, both within the continuous lower level with its large glazed façades, within the five truncated pyramid structures that form the roofscape, and externally in a heated “valley pool” located between the pyramid structures.

The Water Culture House includes a 25-metre training pool, an 11-metre teaching pool, a three-level cascade pool, a 30-metre heated outdoor valley pool, three different warm-water pools, a cold-water plunge pool, and wellness facilities featuring hammam and saunas.

The building has also been designed to accommodate much more than water-based activities. Dedicated facilities support community organisations and clubs, including office and meeting facilities, as well as fitness and training areas.
